Camp Sunshine is a camp for terminally ill children and their families. I choose this charity because they offer support to the children and to the people who love them. I think it is an amazing corporation that focuses not on the child’s illness, but more on the brighter things in life, like fishing.

I choose the Humane Society (in Panama City, FL) because of my love for animals. So many people don’t spay or neuter their pets, which causes unwanted pets that are left on the streets. I believe animals are give us such a great gift that we can not give each other, they don’t care about the color of your skin, your religion or how you grew up. They just offer an unconditional love. This specific charity offers free spay and neutering and is one of the only societies that has a no kill policy if the animals are not adopted out.

Another charity that I support is the Epilepsy Foundation, this is a very personal charity to me, because my girlfriend was born with epilepsy. Epilepsy is a chronic illness that effects the brain. This foundation provides information and donations for the cure. Many people are affected by epilepsy and the more attention that it gets, the quicker a cure can be found.

This organization offers something you could do for a child by just donating your time. You are giving a child a mentor, by providing them someone to look up to that they may not already have in their life. It is a great way to give back to a child by giving them someone to look up to, just like most of us had when we were kids.
